The British International School and Montessori Education, Freetown is committed to child protection and aims to achieve the highest level of protection for children. Our aim is to put in place policies and procedures, which will significantly strengthen child protection within all its practices, activities and programs, both on and off campus. The School has a zero-tolerance approach to child abuse.

Our safeguarding team ensures that our students are protected from harm, abuse, and neglect, while promoting a culture of safety, respect, and support. Our pastoral care officers ensure that our students receive the emotional, social, and spiritual support they need to lead fulfilling lives, make positive contributions to their communities, and successfully navigate personal and collective challenges.
